History

In 1956 MIDWAY was opened as a 16-lane establishment. A year later, ten additional lanes were installed in order to accommodate bowling’s growing popularity, taking the total to 26. Then, in 1971, ten more lanes were added, bringing the total number of operating lanes to 36. To couple the bowling lanes, the Sparetime Lounge was established in 1991 to provide customers with food and beverage options.

MIDWAY has been in the Mowery family for three generations. Most recently, Daniel Mowery acquired the business in December of 2015. At this time, Daniel began renovating the bar and bowling alley to provide customers with additional forms of entertainment. Mowery plans to continue the legacy his grandfather started: creating family fun.
